We’ve just finished building a new 100-ton hydraulic molding press with a hydraulic cushion, custom-engineered to meet a client’s precise specifications. This powerful press is designed for efficient deep drawing and stamping operations on sheet metal and various other metals.
Starting with our standard PST 100 model, we implemented a series of significant modifications to create this specialized machine. These enhancements include increasing the distance between the columns to accommodate larger workpieces, expanding the size of the work table, and adjusting its height from the ground for improved ergonomics and operational flexibility.
The worktop itself was manufactured using high-strength 40CMD8 material, capable of withstanding a substantial force of 1100 N/mm². This ensures exceptional durability and resistance to deformation under heavy loads during demanding molding and stamping processes.
Beneath the lower work table, we’ve integrated a 40-ton hydraulic cushion. This crucial component is equipped with sensors for precise cylinder adjustment. The hydraulic cushion has a maximum stroke of 250mm and operates at a speed of 43 mm/sec, providing controlled counterforce for intricate deep drawing tasks and improved material flow.
Operating this hydraulic molding press with a hydraulic cushion requires the simultaneous use of two levers along with a button located on the electrical panel, strictly adhering to current European safety regulations. One lever controls the descent and ascent of the main cylinder, while the second lever is dedicated to the movement of the hydraulic cushion, allowing for independent and coordinated control of both critical functions.
The rear of the hydraulic press is equipped with an openable metal protective grill, providing safe and convenient access to the work table for loading, unloading, and adjustments. This ensures both operator safety and ease of use during production.
